Can a Doula Help With Anxiety, Trauma, or Past Loss?

Birth isn’t always as straightforward as we hoped for, or planned.

For some, it may bring up fear from a previous birth. For others, it may follow miscarriage, stillbirth, or medical trauma. And sometimes, anxiety just arrives, unannounced, even when everything is going to plan.

If this is you, I see you.

And yes, a doula can help you, for sure!

You Don't have to be Fearless to Birth Powerfully

There seems to be this unspoken pressure that pregnancy and birth are calm, quiet, brave, and confident. Really!? This is a season of huge transformation. And YES! it can be scary and exciting both at the same time.

There is great strength in choosing support. Choosing to be seen. Choosing to heal.

That’s where doulas come in.

Moving Forward After Birth Trauma, Anxiety, or Loss

Pregnancy and birth are more than just a physical journey. As your doula, I offer more than just physical support, I walk with you through the emotional landscape too.

Whether you’re holding grief, fear, or holding yourself back, I create space to explore these feelings too. In our prenatal sessions, we discuss gently and honestly what shaped your past experiences – the highs and the lows. We explore what YOU need to feel held and safe this time.

Doulas can support you through anxiety, trauma and past loss
